With the number of owners trying to get out of their timeshares along with challenges faced by the industry, the stakeholders are holding an annual conference to address these issues. One of these is the Australian Timeshare and Holiday Ownership Council (ATHOC) Annual Conference to be held from 12th to 14th September at the Crowne Plaza in Christchurch, New Zealand. Meanwhile, Interval International, a prominent worldwide provider of vacation services and an operating segment of Interval Leisure Group will be a key sponsor of the said event.
Craig M. Nash, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Interval Leisure Group, will open the said conference as keynote speaker and also address the delegates on the state of the global vacation ownership industry. Joe Hickman, Interval’s executive director Asia Pacific and Sean Farquhar, Interval’s executive director of operations Asia Pacific, will represent the company at the event.
As Nash said, Interval has worked with the association for many years to further its goal of representing industry members, as well as offering information and support to owners throughout the region. He added that they look forward to participating in this year’s conference and to discussing with fellow industry representatives the many opportunities for holiday ownership.
Laura Younger, general manager of the association, on the other hand stated that they are very pleased to once again welcome Interval as a sponsor of the conference and are appreciative of its continued commitment to ATHOC. Interval’s involvement helps them promote the benefits of the vacation industry and assist all members to achieve growth and profitability in an ever-changing business environment.
