As we often hear or read these days, these are also the reasons particularly the increasing maintenance fees why most owners want to get out of their timeshares. Other concerns listed however based from survey respondents were honesty by marketers and developers, resale opportunities and resort improvements.
The maintenance fees may vary from resort to resort and also by size and by type of the timeshare unit owned. Meanwhile, survey respondents also indicate that it’s not easy to make their desired exchange. Thus, it is clear that flexibility and reasonable fees are vital to timeshare ownership. Moreover, survey respondents would like to see easier to understand timesharing information, better resort management, and shorter stays as the typical timeshare interval is seven nights.
On the other hand, the site which conducted the survey is RedWeek.com. It is considered one of the largest online marketplace for timeshare rentals, timeshare resale and timeshare exchange these days. It is also a member-supported marketplace connecting travelers and the timeshare community.
Several owners nowadays are complaining and some finally decided to get rid of their timeshares.
